Does Wyoming add money to SSI?

State Supplemental Payment

Wyoming pays $20 a month to Wyoming residents whose only income is SSI.

Paid by: the state

WhoState partTotal per month with SSIEffective
SSI recipient whose only income is SSI$20$1,014July 1, 2021

The total uses the federal SSI amount for that living arrangement. For people living on their own, the federal SSI part is $994 a month for one person or $1,491 for a couple in 2026. In another person's household or in a medical facility it is less.

How to apply
You do not need to apply. The state uses information from Social Security to find eligible people. The money goes to the same bank account as your SSI. If you use Direct Express or have no account, the state mails a check each month.

Medicaid for working people with disabilities: Employed Individuals with Disabilities (EID)

EID lets people with disabilities who work buy Medicaid coverage. You must be 16 through 64, be disabled (get Social Security disability benefits or be found disabled by the Wyoming Department of Health), and have proof that you work. There is no resource test. Earned income is not counted for eligibility but is used to figure the premium. The monthly premium is 7.5% of your gross monthly income. Coverage can end if you do not pay the premium.
