Louisiana property tax appeals by parish
Each parish has an elected assessor who values all property in the parish (Orleans Parish has one assessor for all of New Orleans). Appeals go first to the parish Board of Review, which is the parish governing authority (the police jury or parish council; in Orleans, the New Orleans City Council).
